The Vineyard
The vineyard was established in 1984 with a first planting of just 6 acres. This has been increased to 18 acres in a 40acre estate and further planting is planned by owners Gordon and Angela

The highly praised audio tour guides you round the vineyard and describes the history of English Wine, the development of the vineyard and the work throughout the vineyard year. It is a fascinating story brought to life with accompanying sounds and music. Guided tours with a tutored tasting are also available by appointment for groups of 15 or more at £5.00pp

  

 

The Winery
Wickham has one of the most modern and best equipped winerys to be found anywhere. It is set in a dramatic 200 year old Hampshire barn whose old oak beams contrast with the high-tech stainless steel tanks and wine-making equipment. Two of our wines are traditionally matured in French oak barrels.

If you come in October you may see the harvest in full swing while in April we are usually bottling the wine of the previous vintage.


The Tasting Room
From the winery the tour takes you to "The Tasting Room" where you can enjoy a taste of Wickham Wines. Here you can buy our wines as well as a selection of fine wines from around the world. The shop also stocks a wonderful range of unusual, high quality gifts, local produce, wine accessories and a fine range of English liqueurs.		  

  The Nature Reserve
The nature reserve is an area of some 7.5 acres of "unimproved" woodland (both mixed and wet alder) and wetland. There is a small carp lake with a board walk from which you can spot abundant wildlife including the Great Spotted Woodpecker and the Sparrowhawk as well as many smaller birds. Deer are frequently to be seen. Visitors to the vineyard are invited to visit the nature reserve for which there is no charge. After heavy rain, wellies are advisable!
