Tasting Notes for Our Current Vintages

Vintage Selection - Dry. Made mainly from the Faber grape. With delicate lychee flavours, this wine has a long and powerful palate with a long, dry finish. Excellent with fish and white meats.

Wickham Special Release - Fumé. A fine blend of Bacchus and Reichensteiner grapes that has been fermented in French oak barrels. Superb drinking on its own, with fish, especially smoked, and with chicken. £8.50
Wickham - Medium. Made mainly from the Wurzer grape, a relative of the Gewurztraminer family, this is a sweeter style wine, with a lovely bouquet, honeyed overtones and a fine clean finish. £6.50
Wickham Celebration Rosé. This is a medium dry, deep pink Rosé made from Dornfelder grapes which give intense raspberry and strawberry flavours. Goes well with poultry, barbeques, pasta and salads. £6.99
Wickham Row Ash Red An easy drinking, medium bodied fruity table wine made mainly from Triomphe d'Alsace grapes and matured in French oak. An ideal partner to poultry, red meat and cheese.

Wickham Special Reserve Red. A full bodied red wine made from Rondo and Pinot Noir and matured in French oak barrels for 12 months. Good fruit, reminiscent of damsons and blackberries and a powerful nose make this wine a perfect accompaniment to red meats and game. £11.99
Wickham Medium Dry Sparkling Wine 2002. Will be released in May 2006. A delicious sweeter-style sparkling wine bottle fermented and aged for three years on the lees to produce a rich, biscuity taste. Ideal for those preferring their "fizz" a little less dry. £10.99
Wickham Rosé Brut 2004. A classic Rosé sparkling wine made in the traditional way from 100% Dornfelder grapes. Hints of ripe berry fruit with complex, creamy yeast characters and a fine, persistent mousse make this an ideal wine for celebrating any occasion. £14.99
